Terms of Service

Last updated

These terms apply to the X-Filer app for Windows and macOS and to this website, x-filer.com. By installing or using X-Filer you agree to them. "We" means the developer of X-Filer.

Using X-Filer

You may install X-Filer on your own devices and use it for personal or work purposes. You may not sell or redistribute X-Filer or modified copies of it, or use it to break the law or someone else's rights.

X-Filer is currently free. If paid features appear, their price and terms will be shown before you pay, and nothing is charged without your explicit purchase.

Your files and accounts

Your files remain yours. X-Filer does what you tell it to: it can move, overwrite and delete files on your disk and in the cloud drives you connect. Keep backups of anything important — no file manager can replace them.

You are responsible for the accounts you connect and for keeping your device secure. Sign-in tokens are stored on your device as described in the Privacy Policy.

Third-party services

X-Filer works with services run by others: Google Drive, Yandex Disk, GitHub, the servers and storage services you connect, and the AI agents whose projects it shows, such as Claude Code. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. X-Filer is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Google, Yandex, GitHub or Anthropic. Their names are trademarks of their owners.

If a service changes or stops its API, the matching feature of X-Filer may stop working.

Updates

X-Filer checks for new versions and installs them so you have fixes and security updates. Features may be added, changed or removed between versions.

No warranty

X-Filer is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that it will be error-free or uninterrupted.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or business, arising from your use of X-Filer or the website, even if we were told such damage was possible. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Ending use

You can stop using X-Filer at any time by uninstalling it and revoking its access in the connected services. We may stop distributing or supporting X-Filer at any time.

Changes

When these terms change, we update the date at the top and, for significant changes, say so in the release notes. Using X-Filer after a change means you accept the new terms.
